About four weeks ago, I heard the crying of kittens out in my garage while I was cleaning my car. I looked around for them and couldn't find them, and then I realized it was coming from above the cieling of our carport. About that time I remembered that a stray cat had been hit by a car on the street outside our home and had been killed almost three days before that on a Monday. We didn't realize the cat had been a mother. I heard the kittens crying on a Thursday. I climbed up there and pulled all five of them out(there were two sand-colored, one orange striped, and two black kittens). They weren't but maybe a week and a half old. I was of course freaking out. After all, they'd been up there starving for three days! I gave them the only thing I had, which was cow's milk, and that night, my mom brought home some kitten milk replacement she'd found at Walmart. (I'm a 17 year old senior in high school) I've been taking the best care of them I can since then, but they've all had diarrhea, and one of my black babies died last week after having a seizure in my hands. Now I've gotten the the remaining black one and the orange kitten to eat solid food, but the two sand-colored ones refuse to eat it. That would be fine, but they also won't eat the formula right, either. They just gnaw on the bottle and yowl at me. Just before the black baby died I took him to a vet friend of mine, and she got me some wormer for them, a treatment for the diarrhea, and an eye ointment for the orange striped one's eye infections. I really don't know what to do anymore. I need some help!

They are really tiny and it is hard to take care of such small kittens. like it is to take care of babys. the two who will only take the formula - put it on your finger and drip it into there mouth let them suckle your finger - maybe that will help, You could also try massaging their bellies gently in circular motions, clock wise with your finger, that could help with their digestion a bit) I don't have a lot of other good advice for you - I will ask around and see if I can get you some expert advice.
Good luck

I have spoken to several professionals in animal care, all recommend that you go back to your vet... and I do to.
I hope your holding up...
Good luck

Now they are about five or six weeks old, and the black kitten and the orange striped are both eating 9 Lives canned food and softened hard food, but the two tans are still refusing real food. One of my tan babies was sprawled on his side and limp yesterday morning. i took him to my vet friend, and we gave him some honey to get his blood sugar back up, and now he's doin somewhat better. My friend said he is severely dehydrated which i don't understand because i feed them and give them formula and water regularly, up to five or six times a day. Apparently the diarrhea is so bad, he became dehydrated over the course of my school day. (This is why the black kitten died also, she tells me.)
But buying formula at ten or twelve dollars a bottle is way too expensive for my family, so I'm thinking about taking the two who are still refusing solid food to a non-kill shelter or the Humane Society.
PS - Thanks, Alice, for the response!
My real problem is that the two tan ones refuse anything but the bottle. They won't suckle my fingers, or lap the feature from my palm, or anything except take the nipple of the bottle and chew. They get formula like that, but it's far too time-consuming and hard to do. It's extremely frustrating and makes me feel totally helpless because I can't continue to feed them by hand every single time they need to eat.

Hey
My heart goes out to you and your kitties!
you've got to know what your limits are, and take care of yourself as well
If you have a non kill humane society close by, I would definitely let them help. They probably have volunteers to help and the kittens would be well looked after.
Good luck, and keep us posted
(you could write about your kittens on the blog if you wanted to blog about it )
