Internet Cats Club! Any cat can join, as long as they meet the five requirements:
1. You are a cat (DUH!).
2. You either: participate in MEOWCHAT on rec.pets.cats, participate in CATCHAT on Feline-L, read CATCHAT or MEOWCHAT, lurk in CATCHAT or MEOWCHAT, or any combination of the above.
3. You have a web site of your own, or your human's site includes more than just a mention of you.
4. You have an email address (either your own or you use a human's).
5. You would be able to understand it if another kitty talked to you about usenet, mailing lists, email, HTML, computers, web sites, and other internet/computer-related topics.
There are also several honorary member catergories:
Internet Humans: Hoomins who meet all requirements except #1. They are mainly here so that we don't have to slave away. There is also an extra requirement for the Internet Humans: they MUST worship cats.
Aspiring Internet Cats: Cats or kittens who meet all requirements except #4 and possibly #3. Full-fledged Internet Cat Club members hold monthly lessons for the 'Aspirers' to teach them more about the topics listed in #5. Once the Aspirers 'graduate', i.e. they complete a course of 5 classes, they can become a regular member.
Web-page Deprived Internet Cats: Cats who meet all requirements except, for some reason, cannot put up a web page. They have all priveleges except participating in web-page trade-a-comment seminars.
