Cats and Dogs

I have eight cats and would like to get a dog. I want to get a older dog. I was wondering if anyone has done this and what the results were. All my cats are indoor and the older ones were around a dog for about four months, however this was several years ago.

Just make sure the older dog you get is already used to cats. We got a golden retreiver who had lived around cats. He liked to chase them, but then he likes to chase anything that runs away. The three cats like him and he's OK with them. He gets annoyed with them occasionally, but he's still the friendly sort.
